Gwyneth and Scarlett clash on set

Tensions are high on the set of the new Iron Man 2 film as leading ladies Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow go head to head to steal the limelight.
Rumours are circulating that sparks are flying between the film’s two female leads, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson, after Paltrow is fuming that her on-set rival, is hogging the attention.
A Hollywood source revealed yesterday: “Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett.
“They come from different worlds and have completely different styles.”
The source said that Gwyneth finds Scarlett very demanding as she is always pining for the attention of the crew. This has resulted in high tensions on the set and an uncomfortable environment.
In the sequel, which is due to be released next year Gwyneth will be returning to her role as Pepper Potts, assistant to comic book hero Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr.
However, Scarlett has been brought in as Natasha Romanoff, a seductive former spy known as the Black Widow.
Paltrow, who is now taking a two-week break from filming, is said to be struggling with the heavy workload, as well as the on-set politics and bitchiness, which have left her feeling exhausted.
Fortunately her husband, and Coldplay front man Chris Martin, has been tentative and caring, by supporting her at a dinner with friends in LA.
The couple, who have two children together, Apple and Moses, have now left for the east coast of America for Coldplay’s latest US dates.
The on-set source revealed: “Gwyneth and Scarlett have never been particularly close.
“She and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point.”
While Scarlett has been toting guns in sexy cat suits for scenes shot so far, Gwyneth has mainly been acting in bland business suits.
But she has been told she will get an action-packed moment in the films dramatic finale.
The source said, “Gwyneth’s break has come at a perfect time.
“She can recharge her batteries before returning for her chance to show who is boss.”
