After a string of relationships with older unattractive men, it seems Lily Allen, 23, has finally set her sights on someone desirable.

 The lucky lad in question is A-list musician and ex of Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer.

 The Fear singer has recently been touring in the US and made no secret of the fact that she has a huge crush on Mayer. She is said to have been begging him for a date and wrote on Twitter:

 “I think I’m in love with John Mayer, I watched a DVD of one of his concerts last night on the bus—his guitar playing is mesmerisingly sexy.”

 Rumour has it that Brit girl Lily, got John’s number off her friend, Lindsay Lohan, and since this acquisition, has been hot on his heels, bombarding him with phone calls and messages every day pleading with him to meet her.

 A source said that Lily told Lohan she is determined to meet Mayer, before she begins the European leg of her tour.

 However, it seems that John is not taking it quite so seriously, as he is alleged to have referred to Lily as ‘this cute, big-assed English girl’ and finds the situation rather amusing.  

 In the past Lily has dated her father’s friend, 45-year-old art dealer, Jay Joplin, which came to a close in January, DJ Seb Chew, 32, and Chemical Brother, Ed Simons, 38.

 So that makes Mayer a younger as well as a hotter choice than usual, lets hope they can get together and make sweet music.
