Jessica Simpson has spoken out about the criticism she has recently received by the press and her fans about her reported weight gain, she has brushed off the comment and says she will not let the nasty jibes get to her and she is more than happy with the way she looks. 

The singer and actress has been the subject of scrutiny since pictures of a fuller-figure Jessica circulated, but the gorgeous 28-year old has spoken about these pictures and has said she is perfectly happy with the way she is: ”Honestly, I am right where I’m supposed to be. I am so happy,” 

Last month, the singer appeared to break down in tears on stage following weeks of jibes about her weight, causing her to forget her words and appear very nervous in front of hundreds of fans, some of which later spoke about their concern for the star. 

Jessica spoke out at a concert on January 30, saying: “Please remember, no matter what you go through in life, somebody else might have it harder. So just appreciate. I feel like in our world today, we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.”

Singer Jessica Simpson is known for suffering badly when times get rough, and recently she has gained a few pounds – so what? But as per usual the press have homed in on this and poor Jessica is taking it badly. But now Jessica Simpson pretty much had a breakdown in front of fans in Grand Rapids, showing how the horrible press has caused her to meltdown. 

When Jessica was performing in front of her fans, she appeared to forget her lyrics and mumble her way through the songs she was performing and even tried to stop herself from crying during Thursday’s performance.

A representative for Jessica, Cindy Berger, spoke out about her poor performance and said: “Jessica had an off night, She’s a perfectionist, and wanted to start some of the songs over. She always wants to give her best performance to her fans.”

Jessica spoke about how she feels when she performs, and said when she introduces her last song, she sometimes feels like quitting, and cutting off completely, making the last song the end of everything – doesn’t sound good Jessica! Fans said it looked as if Simpson was wiping away tears after finishing the song and walking off the stage.

Jessica Simpson was opening for Rascal Flatts in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a performance that was labeled a “train wreck.” John Gonzalez of the Grands Rapids Press told Grand Rapids NBC affiliate station WOOD TV 8 of the concert, which he attended, “It was one of those trainwrecks that you went, ‘Oh no, I know where this is going and it’s not good.’”

Gonzalez said, “She forgot her lyrics during a couple of the songs including one of her minor hit singles, she just appeared to be kind of losing it as the show went on — just struggling.”

Apparently the crowd went easy on Jessica after her poor performance and they applauded mildly — they didn’t boo her, which is probably a very good thing as it would of done nothing for her already low self-esteem.

A recent rumor has been floating around that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had married his girlfriend, singer Jessica Simpson.

But this is not the first time there has been rumours about Tony getting married, in 2007, rumors abounded that Tony Romo and singer Carrie Underwood, of American Idol fame, had tied the knot.

In early 2008, another rumor spread that Tony Romo had married his new girlfriend, Jessica Simpson. This rumor was allegedly confirmed by Jessica’s mother who said “Jessica is already married to Tony. What are you talking about?”

Later Jessica mysteriously commented, “Well, I guess if my mom said it, it must be true.”

While this rumor was later proven to be just that, a rumor, it has been reported that Romo and Simpson are extremely serious, and are considering a 2009 wedding. So i think that means ‘watch this space’, as Jessica is obviously head over heels with Tony, and if he feels the same which he appears to, maybe there will be a 2009 wedding for the famous couple.

What do you think, should she just relax and let life happen instead of trying to force it?  Jessica is trying really hard to get pregnant and have a baby with her beau Tony Romo. Since she has been dating Tony she believes she has changed and has a different approach to life now, wanting to spend her time relaxing and doing ‘family stuff’. She can’t wait to settle down properly and has finally decided she would love to become a mum, as she believes they would both make fantastic parents.

Jessica says she enjoys staying at home more more, especially after Christmas and enjoying decorating the christmas tree and preparing for the celebrations. She said: I’m in Dallas and its fun, Tony hadn’t had Christmas in seven years because they have football every Christmas and he couldn’t go home.”                                                          This year Jessica took christmas to Tony as she wanted to make it extra special for him and themselves as a couple. Believe it or not, Jessica has said one of her favorite past times id to bake pies, and she loves it! Tony’s favorite is pumpkin pie and but she hasn’t mastered that yet. She said: “Maybe I’m more of a baker – I like to make cakes, more fattening.”

I hope that when she does have children she is able to tell them that you bake a pie just like you bake a cake…

The ‘come on Over’ singer made the confession in a candid interview with America’s Elle magazine, but refused to reveal anything else on the matter.

When asked if she had ever been physically abused, the singer said: “I don’t want to talk about it, but I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run.” The singer said all the songs on her country album ‘Do You Know’ are autobiographical.

One track ‘Remember That’ includes the lyrics: “It doesn’t matter how he hurts you, With his hands or with his words, You don’t deserve it, It ain’t worth it, Take your heart and run.”

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA as they are more often known, have blasted Jessica Simpson for wearing a T-shirt with the slogan, “Real girls eat meat.”

The star of MTV hit, “Newlyweds” is famous for saying ‘blonde’ comments, such as when she asked why Tuna was nicknamed ‘chicken of the sea’. PETA has demanded the star eats more vegetables to increase her brain power.

A spokesperson for PETA said: “Jessica Simpson’s meaty wardrobe malfunction makes us thankful that no one is looking to her for food advice. Chicken of the sea anyone? The woman who thought that Buffalo ‘Wings’ came from buffalos would benefit from some good veggie brain food.”

However, Jessica’s friends claim she wore the T-shirt to poke fun at her boyfriend Tony Romo’s ex-girlfriend Carrie Underwood, who has twice been named the World’s Sexiest Vegetarian by PETA.

A source said: “Jessica is sick of hearing about how Tony still has feelings for Carrie. She’s obviously trying to poke fun at her rival and let her know who really has Tony’s heart.”

Carrie is such a strong believer in vegetarianism she once said: “If you told me I could never sing again, I’d say that was horrible, but it’s not my life. If you told me I could never be around animals again, I would just die.”
