75-year old comedian Joan Rivers was thrown off live TV after she branded Russell Crowe a “F#@%ING S#%T”.

Joan – and now my favourite old person – was a guest on ‘menopausal women having a moan’, UK daytime show “Loose Woman” when she had a go at the Oscar winning ‘Gladiator’ star.

Joan – brilliantly preceded the remark with “get ready to bleep this” – was asked to leave during the commercial break.

When the show returned after the adverts, host Jackie Brambles apologised to viewers, saying: “Apologies for the offensive language. Unfortunately Joan has had to leave us.”

Joan later claimed she hadn’t realised the programme was live and unable to bleep out her comments (yeah right).

She said: “Yes, I swore, and I’m so f#@%ing sorry. No one told me the TV show ‘Loose Women’ was a reality show and that I would be voted off. It’s funny – offstage, I hardly ever use profanity. My favourite four-letter word is shop.

“In England you can’t swear on TV before 9pm. Like it’s my fault – I’m still on New York time. The whole incident reminded me of my wedding night because I was to asked to leave in the middle.”
