Kate Moss has been told to lay off the booze by Topshop boss, Sir Philip Green, who fears it’s destroying her looks.

After being pictured looking rather worse for wear following a few heavy nights on the tiles, Topshop Boss and mentor to Moss, Philip Green has warned the  stunning supermodel that the partying will ruin her beauty.

A source close to Moss told Closer magazine: “Philip told her straight that she’s partying too hard. He told her she needs to look after herself for her own good and told her she’s ruining her looks with booze.”

The concerned billionaire, who is said to have become a father figure to Kate, took her on a relaxing holiday on his luxury yacht in Monaco, for a weekend. It seems it was a sneaky ploy to guarantee the 35-year-old model was looking her best to host the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala bash on 4th May.

The source said Sir Philip “won’t take any nonsense–he’s said that if she lets her partying spiral out of control, she’ll end up back in rehab, and she’s old enough to know better.”

Although Kate, who is going through a bad patch with her boyfriend, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince, and  has also  been photographed looking run-down after several nights out, she is pleased to have gained some womanly curves after putting on weight. 

However, while Moss was holidaying on Sir Philip’s yacht, the Topshop owner is said to have been monitoring her diet by allowing her just two glasses of wine a day and making sure she was eating well.  The friend said:

“Sir Philip wanted Kate to look and feel her best for the gala. He told Kate: ‘You turn up at that event , look fabulous, and make headlines for all the right reasons.”

It seems that Kate took Sir Philip’s advice on board as she turned up to the event in a jaw-dropping metallic gold dress and matching turban, proving to everyone that she still has it!

The BAFTA Awards took place on Sunday night, and here you will find everything you need to know about the events of the night! The Leading Actress award was won by Kate Winslet for her fantastic performance in The Reader and Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up at the awards with seven gongs including Best Film.

The night of British triumphs saw Danny Boyle win the Director prize for Slumdog, the rags-to-riches tale set in the slums of Mumbai.

The Orange British Academy Film Awards, one of the most glamorous events in the film calendar, saw A-listers including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Penelope Cruz, Daniel Craig, Ron Howard and Michael Sheen brave the downpour to dazzle on the red carpet.

Kate Winslet appeared breathless when speaking in her acceptance speech, saying: “To be given this award at home, this really means a great deal to me. Thank you Bafta, thank you. I want to thank everybody involved in the making of this film. They all know who they are and they all deserve a big fat piece of this.”

Star of Doctor Who and Adulthood Noel Clarke was the people’s choice, taking home the Orange Rising Star Award, voted for by the public. Monty Python star Terry Gilliam was given the Bafta fellowship - the Academy’s highest honour.

Singer Pete Doherty is leaving his house because it is haunted, well, so he says so anyway… but seeing as he is known for  consuming vast amounts of ’substances’ and alcohol maybe it is just his imagination. 

The British singer says he is disturbed by ghosts holding noisy parties in his rented stately home in Wiltshire, Southern England, and plans to leave soon as they are ‘freaking him out’. Pete, 29, said: “My house is definitely haunted. All of a sudden you hear a mad party going on in the west wing. It used to be the servants quarters, which is creepy. When I hear it I just hide. It’s uncomfortable but I think if I don’t bother them, they won’t bother me. Half the time I’m in my own world anyway.” - well, maybe that is the reason for the ‘ghosts’ in the first place Pete. 

But although he plans to leave of his own accord, Pete may soon be forced out of the nine-bedroom country house whether it is haunted or not. The Earl of Cardigan, who owns the house, may be  evicting him after his squalid living conditions were exposed.

Apparently Pete has caused a lot of problems whilst living in the house, and he is going to be asked to move on and find somewhere else to live. Pete pays £3,250 per week to live in the house, has graffiti on the walls, littered with empty tins, bottles and beer cans and is overflowing with dirty litter trays from his 13 pet cats.

Kate Moss has invited herself on her boyfriend’s tour, infuriating his bandmate Alison Mosshart, Kate has planned to join Jamie Hince in Australia next month along with his band The Kills, and Alison is not happy with the decision at all. 

Kate has never been on tour with The Kills before and Alison believes it should stay this way, when asked about the situation Alison said: ”Jamie is in a difficult spot, he wants Kate with him but at the same time he’s desperate to appease Alison by keeping things strictly professional. But he has promised Kate that if she comes out to Australia he’ll get her on stage and include her in the music.”

When Kate dated Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty, she sang on the track ‘La Belle Et Le Bete’ and was even given songwriting credits on four tracks on the band’s second album.

Maybe the famous model has the same idea in mind for The Kills, as Kate has written half a song which she is desperate for him to perform - with her.

Alison’s input on this was: “As far as she is concerned Kate should stick to the catwalk - her input is not welcome and completely out of place.”

Kate is also desperate to travel to South Africa after falling in love with the British TV show ‘Wild At Heart’ and she has organized for her six year old daughter Lila Grace and Jamie to join her on safari later on this year. A source close to Kate said: “Kate wants to see wildebeest and lions in particular. She chose South Africa over Kenya because that’s where ‘Wild At Heart’ is filmed. They’ve organised a half-term break.”

Kate Moss gathered all her friends and family together at a big party to make an announcement - that she was not pregnant. The supermodel threw an Andy Warhol-themed party for her boyfriend, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince’s 40th birthday at her Cotswolds country home on Saturday.

Kate gathered her nearest and dearest together telling them she had a big announcement to make, which set tongues wagging as to what this big announcement was going to be! 

Kate, 34, got up during the evening took the karaoke mic and told everyone that she definitely wasn’t pregnant.

Unfortunately for Kate many of the people she had invited cancelled last minute, which upset her as the party meant alot to her and she had spent alot of time preparing, a source said: “There were more last-minute cancellations than a Pete Doherty tour. Davinia was ill but other excuses were lame. Kate spent the night apologising to Jamie for the turnout.”

The fully stocked champagne and vodka bar was enjoyed by Kate and celebrities which had managed to attend the night, so a good night was still had by all, even if there was a bad turn out.

The X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has a new best mate - supermodel Kate Moss - who has also recently said she is a fan of runners up in the competition, JLS. 

Kate was in the audience of The X Factor a few weeks ago, and has said she was impressed by Alexandra’s performance.

She didn’t make it to the final but called Alexandra after the show to congratulate her, and the reality winner has bagged an invite to her party.

Alexandra has said: “I saw Kate in the audience a couple of weeks ago and waved to her. I met her properly last week and we hit it off. I am going to her party on Friday. She promised me I could have anything I wanted from her wardrobe. She said I could stay the night then we would go for a pub lunch on Saturday. I can’t wait.”

Alexandra is determined to be a good girl and has said she likes to have a drink but she won’t be lead astray and take things too far whilst partying alongside famous celebrities. 

One thing the girls do have in common is a passion for fashion, and Alexandra has been taking tips from the supermodel.

“I always bought her stuff anyway. The day it came out at Topshop I was at the front of the queue. She was giving me some fashion tips on what to wear.”

Kate told Alexandra to always wear her heels and not to say yes to every free item of clothing she is offered!

Kate Moss has sparked rumours she is pregnant after gathering all her family together for a “big announcement”. The supermodel has been dating Jamie Hince from The Kills for over a year now, and she has told all her close relatives and friends to clear their diaries for a ’special party’ she is holding on 18th December. 

The 34-year-old party animal has recently tamed her wild ways of late partying and drinking and has been pictured wearing looser clothes.

A source said: “Kate has been on the blower to the Primrose Hill crowd. Her PA has been on the case to her family.”

It is thought if Kate’s big announcement is not a pregnancy it will be an engagement. Supermodel Kate already has a six-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from her relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack.

Kate was spotted recently treating Lila’s nanny - Mary Davidson, the 60-year-old mother of Kate’s friend Sadie Frost - to a shopping spree in Topshop.

 Mary was shy and bewildered at first but soon got into the swing as Kate encouraged her, she came away with more than £3,000 of clothes and shoppers found their jaws dropping as they bumped into Kate shouting ‘Come on girls, buy, buy, buy!’

Kate designs a range of clothes for the chain and didn’t even pay the bill, Tophop’s owner Sir Philip Green offered to pick up the tab - alright for some!

JLS have revealed that they count Kate Moss as one of their celebrity fans, the X Factor finalists who came second place to Alexandra Burke, have spoke about the croydon supermodel and said she came over to them after a recent live show, and asked to speak to ‘JB’ who also comes from Croydon. 

“Kate Moss was a big fan on Saturday night. We had a chat with her on Saturday. She came over to us and JB’s real name is Jonathan and she came over to us and was like ‘where’s Jonathan?’ because he wasn’t with us,” said Marvin.

JB, who said the model was a friend of his godfather’s, had unfortunately nipped back to get his mobile so couldn’t greet Kate in person.

Simon Webb also went to school and is friends with Marvin, it looks like the band have already got themselves a nice little celebrity fan-base! 

And the band were equally pleased to find out that British legend Dame Judi Dench was also on their side.

“We can’t leave out Dame Judi Dench, she and her family are like huge fans and she said ‘guys I’m a fan of you’ and we’re like ‘no, we’re fans of you!’ so that was pretty crazy,” said Ortise.

Stick-thin supermodel Kate Moss is apparently “beside herself” following Rhys Ifan’s split from Sienna Miller.

The supermodel – who’s never really been bestest buddies with ‘The Edge of Love’ actress Sienna – has been hanging about Rhys since the break-up in an effort to cheer him up.

A source revealed: “Kate seemed beside herself. Rhys spent a few nights with her just after the break-up but he seemed to be in denial. He kept saying he could fix it.

“Kate said she knew exactly what he was going through because she it was similar to when she split from Pete Doherty last year. Kate made a real effort with Sienna for Rhys’ sake and she is upset to see him so devastated.”

In the meantime, Sienna is getting sympathy from her ex-boyfriend Jude Law.

An insider said: “Jude called Sienna and said she shouldn’t worry about what everyone was saying. He told her to focus on how well things were going in Los Angeles, adding that only she and Rhys really knew what happened.”
