She is a Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice Award nominated American singer, actress, and best-selling author. She is better known for starring as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in the television series Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. Cyrus became a sensation after Hannah Montana debuted in March 2006. I also love songs of Robyn Rihanna who performs under the mononym Rihanna, is a Barbadian singer. She also serves as the cultural ambassador for Barbados. She is the first Barbadian artist to win a Grammy Award.

I also love rock bands like Blackstreet, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath or the Beatles. Among them Blackstreet is my favorite one. Blackstreet, sometimes noted as BLACKstreet, is an American R&B group formed in 1992. Their second album Another Leve (1996) was a breakthrough success due to the top single “No Diggity” (with Dr. Dre), which was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

At the Oscar awards on Sunday night Miley Cyrus was one of the first big stars to arrive on the famous red carpet of the 81^st Academy Awards and looked adorable.

She told reporters that her bejeweled fish scale tiered princess gown – designed by Zuhair Murad – was inspired by “The Little Mermaid.”

When the dress is viewed from close up, the detail to the beading is unique and exquisite, the dress does truly give out a fairy princess look and Miley wore it perfectly – because it really did look like something out of the Disney Collection.

Miley accessorized with a clutch by Mary Norton, Neil Lane diamond earrings and BCBG shoes. She wore her hair in a low, loose chignon and kept her makeup subtle.

When Miley was interviews on the red carpet she was asked who she would be “celebrity stalking” tonight, she said Angelina Jolie saying that she wouldn’t mind being adopted by her.

She also said she was worried that her dress may be seen as ‘too old’ for her, even though it looks like something a fairy princess would wear to her birthday party… definitely not too old. 

Singer/Actress Miley Cyrus says she is bothered by people who think there is something wrong with the bond between her and her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley is know for being very close to her Dad and having a strong and secure father/daughter relationship with him, but the media have frowned upon this in recent times?!

“The media has said some stuff about my dad and me being too close and too cuddly for a father and a daughter,” the 16-year-old actress-singer writes in Miles To Go, a new memoir. “For me and my dad it’s not weird at all.”

Miley’s memoir was written alongside Hilary Liftin and it will be published next month by Disney-Hyperion Books, and in the memoir she does not mention directly last year’s photoshoot for Vanity Fair, when she is shown reclining against her father, his arm around her shoulder, both of them sombre and bare-armed – an image many found suggestive.

But she does write that she loves her father (who co-stars on her Hannah Montana TV show), is not afraid to show it, and “we don’t let other people tell us what expressions we’re supposed to have on our faces when we take a picture together!”.

She also writes how fame inevitably attracts criticism, and speaks out about how she has been hurt in the past by comments posted about her on the internet and concludes that some people are “so full of anger, hatred and bitterness”.

The media have also been mentioned and how she regrets that the media will continue to make profits off herself and other celebrities troubles, she says she wishes that the media would profit from her great achievements and focus on the positive side of her life.

Most people would wonder why such a child superstar like Miley Cyrus gets a used porsche for her birthday! Surely they could afford to buy a brand new one? But then again, it was only her 16th birthday, and how many 16 year olds do you know that drive around in a second hand porsche, never mind a new one!

Miley Cyrus who has just turned 16 and got her learner’s permit last week, is getting the hand-me-down Porsche Cayenne from her mum, Tish who got a new car recently, so she’s giving Miley her old car. And Miley is apparently very excited about being given the porsche and her mum lets her drive it to work when she is with her.

But when you start off your children off with such a nice set of wheels –  the bar is set so high, where will they go from there and what will they get next! What will they be wanting to be driving by the time they’re 21?  A private jet? Their very own Space Shuttle?!

A child starlet experiences fame, adoration and a bulging bank balance before the age of 16. Sound familiar? No, we’re not talking about Britney, we’re talking about girl-of-the-moment Miley Cyrus – star of Hannah Montana and the highest-earning teenager of 2007. 

Media-favourite Miley Cyrus has finaly confirmed she and Nick Jonas were dating. The 15-year-old star – who up till now had refused to confirm the rumours – has admitted she was “in love” with the Nick, 15, who makes up one third of the Jonas Brothers.

She said: “We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met. He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, ‘I think you’re beautiful and I really like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.’

“Nick and I loved each other. We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun.”

Miley – who recently revealed she wanted to star in a kiddie-version of hit show ‘Old Women Buy Shoes’, err I mean, ‘Sex and the City’ – also spoke about how she handled the break up. Not very well it would seem.

She said: “At first I bawled for a month straight. I was so sad. I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black. When we were dating, Nick wanted me to get highlights – and so I did that, and I got myself looking great (because i’m a robot that does what i’m told?).

“And then, on the day we broke up, I was like, I want to make my hair black now – I don’t want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core (this is actually painful to read). I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, I’ve got to be by myself for now, and just figure out who I really am.

“Since the breakup, I’ve realised that I’ve met so many great guys, but I like being the girl nobody can have. No one can touch me, no one’s mine. I’m myself. I think it’s sexy to do your own thing.”

Pop-star/paparazzi flavour-of-the-month, Miley Cyrus is desperate to babysit for Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson when they have their baby. The 15-year-old star apparently “worships” Ashlee, who is expecting her first child with her husband Pete later this year.

Miley spoke to Pete at the taping of his new show ‘F’N MTV’ and gushed: “I just met your beautiful wife backstage. I worship her – I’ll babysit!” In the meantime, Miley has been getting half naked again for a camera, and – to no great surprise – they’ve made it on the internet.

Miley has already caused controversy when he posed ‘topless’ for Vanity Fair magazine earlier this year. One of the new photo’s shows the star in a tiny bikini, and one where she is looking slutily over her shoulder while wearing hotpants.

This is not the first time that pictures have been leaked to the internet. Two other sets of pictures made there way round the internet when a hacker reportedly got in to Miley’s email account and mobile phone. Either she’s very stupid, or – and more realistically – her publicist knows what the world wants: a scandal.

No stranger to controversy, 15-year old Miley Cyrus – star of Disney hit ‘Hannah Montana’, and in the news recently for posing ‘topless’ in Vanity Fair – has said in an interview that she wants to do a cleaner more child-friendly version of ‘Sex and the City’.

She said: “I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of ‘Sex and the City’. I like to think of myself as the girl that no one can get, that no one can keep in their hand.”

The ‘Hannah Montana’ star – whose father is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus – also revealed she wears a ‘purity ring’ to signify her commitment to abstaining from sex until she gets married.

She told TV Guide magazine: “Even at my age, a lot of girls are starting to fall. And I think if staying a virgin is a commitment girls make, that’s great.”

Even though Miley’s Vanity Fair cover causing worldwide controversy, the singer-and-actress insists she is determined to be a good influence on her fans.

She added: “I want to be a positive role model, so we just try to keep that stuff as much not talked about as possible. I don’t dwell on the negativity.”

In 2007 teenage star Miley Cyrus who plays Hannah Montana in the Disney sitcom of the same name, earned a staggering $18.2 million – the highest wage for a teenage star this year.

Miley is also a pop singer who had no less than seven songs from her soundtrack album in the US singles chart at the same time, something that both Elvis and even the Beatles never did.

With computer games, DVDs, make-up, pillow diaries, towels and loads of other stuff that little girl’s love, Hannah Montana (Miley in a blonde wig) is a merchandise machine. Quite remarkably she is also penning her autobiography which should net her a cool $1 million.

There is also a big-budget movie in the pipeline, which is sure to know the crown right off ‘High School Musicals’ squeaky clean head, and with her father (and dad in the show) country singer, Billy-Ray Cyrus (you know – Achy Breaky Heart) on the production credits, talk about keeping it in the family…

Time Magazines ‘Most Influential People in the World’ List, Miley ranked 59th – higher that George Clooney, Mariah Carey and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.

All this has made Miley the paparazzi’s main target. According to reports Briteny Spear’s has around half a dozen trailing her around but Miley has over 30. How long will it be before she get’s married for 12 hours, shaves her head and run’s over a photographer? Well she’s already got the ball rolling with a photoshoot with Vanity Fair where she posed topless under a blanket – which as you can imagine caused outrage amonst the parents of America.

Despite approving the shoot, Miley has since apologised and hinted that she was tricked in to the shoot: “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” she said in a statement. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

The new ‘all grown-up’ image has already attracted Playboy boss Hugh Hefner who invited the star to pose in his magazine when she turns 18. “She would be welcomed in the magazine. She’s a very pretty lady,” he said.  

The ‘lets try make Miley breakdown before her sixteenth birthday’ bandwagon is in full effect now and the star herself is making matters worse by defending out-of-control stars like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. “Basically, they’re being normal 21-year-olds, especially Lindsay Lohan,” she said recently. “I mean, most of that’s pretty normal.”

Former child star Paul Petersen (one of the original Mousketeers), who now runs a support group for child stars, says he believes a Miley Cyrus meltdown is inevitable: “I fear that since this path has been trodden so many times, that unless someone takes aggressive, active steps with her – I’m talking serious intervention – that we’re going to watch yet another meltdown.”

All I can say is good luck Miley, you are going to need a hell of a lot of it to get through your teenage years unscathed.
