picture-1 Summer is fast approaching, so it’s the time of year when everyone tries especially hard to look  fabulous, and what better way to do that than stock your wardrobe with some of spring/summers latest  trends.

This season expect, a lot of bright, bold colours worn together in brazen blocks, as well as prints both  pretty, traditional, ethnic and eighties. Ringspun have some must have summer dresses, tops and tees in bold and beautiful patterns. Their dresses Adriana, Canyon Breeze and t-shirt Isabella are great for achieving that vintage, indie look.

For men, Luke 1977 has good selection of sharp, tailored items. Their summer t-shirt, William polo, comes in bright and pastel shades, in keeping with the 80’s preppy look. If you fancy this season’s smart monochrome look, then the Power polo fits the bill, coming in either black with white trimming or vice versa. They also have regular tees without collars, Trouser Snake and Hill in a variety of colours.

But if your not feeling brave enugh to don some eye-popping combinations, neutral shades like grey and beige are hot right now, especially girls, when teamed with a chunky, statement necklace or huge earrings.

Religion, are well on-trend with their chic draped neckline dresses in this seasons toned down shades that look great layered over a bright top, which is another look seen on the catwalks, recently. Adornment is very popular too, and Religion’s black vest with a beautiful sequined back is perfect if you like this trend.

Patterns and pictures are everywhere for summer, and Diesel have a fairly extensive range, including animal print tops like the Handbe-H and Tetek-T vests for women as well as 80’s colours and patterns, such as the Teipiei top.

The men’s range includes the vintage style Sloory shirt, which has a cool floral print and the urban distressed look, Sodal sweater. Religion also have cool retro style Batman and Superman t-shirts that would work well teamed with a pair of plain dark jeans. Or look out for Do Denim, who has released some battered, rock inspired t-shirts, for spring/summer, decorated with skulls and gothic style script.

However, if you’re not the type to be fun with your clothing, then Sharpeye will suit you. Like Luke 77, Sharpeye has a basic, but stylish look, their items ooze class and their simple finishing ensures they will date well. Sharpeye is great for hardy hooded jackets and crisp, indie style t-shirts.

Replay has a wide range of smart/casual items for men, including simple v-neck jumpers in eye-catching shades, logoed t-shirts and distressed jeans. Their signature style is unique, yet easy to wear.

But if you’re seeking a men’s t-shirt that is slightly more adventurous then Red Dot is a good place to start. With their playful, innovative designs, such as the Boxing glove or Gun in Jeans tee, you’re bound to stand out as a trendsetter.

If this is your type of approach to fashion, then you may also love Weekender Offender, whose range of plucky, cheeky men’s t-shirts have grown increasingly popular recently. The tees come in a selection of striking colour combinations, with writing in a bold, nu-rave style. Not for the faint-hearted but definitely for the daring fashion addict, these tops are an edgy, summer staple.

A lot of utility fashion has featured on the catwalk for this season and G-Star Raw, have taken heed. The Rally Link dress is a lovely urban style dress that could be effortlessly dressed-up or down. The utility look extends to men’s jeans too, with some very unique structured designs such as the Elwood Heritage and Elwood Desk styles. Luke 77 has some t-shirts following this route, notably the Chubby tee, which has pockets on the shoulders and chest and comes in khaki.

A staple in every wardrobe, whether you’re a boy or a girl is a decent pair of jeans, so whether you prefer, skinny, boyfriend boot-cut or flares, you’re spoilt for choice for high-quality jeans. Diesel has been a firm favourite of many for years, for their hardwearing, high-fashion styles. They also have a wide range of looks from plain indigo straight legs to distressed baggies, like the Bonsky Pants.

G-Star Raw are renowned for their range of jeans and as well as their popular, Elwood Heritage jean, that comes in either a loose or tapered fit, they have wide leg styles, such as Medin and Wooden Heritage.

Blue Blood are the perfect brand for no-fuss jeans, making simple, yet effective timeless styles that you’ll be wearing for all occasions. But if you’re keen to try something completely different, brave and unique, then look no further than Bar Denim. Their jeans are highly embellished with studs, fading, buttons and extra patches of denim where you wouldn’t usually expect it. They’re adventurous with their fabric use and stitching and some designs even have embroidery.

Finally, it is impossible to write about summer wardrobes without mentioning footwear, in particular, flip-flops. For the last few years, the Brazilian brand Havaianas have been the coolest way to rock flip-flops on a hot day. Inspired by traditional Japanese sandals there is a lot to love about a pair of Havaianas, they’re simple yet funky, come in vast array of colours, including hot pink, gold, white, and yellow, to name a few, and are very comfortable. Keep your eye on celebrity magazines and you’re bound to see pictures of celebrities lapping up the sun on some faraway tropical beach in a pair of Havaianas.
