Jennifer Aniston’s ex boyfriend tried to win her back by proposing to her in front of his mother.

The ‘Friends’ star - who recently split from on off boyfriend John Mayer earlier this year - revealed that one of her former boyfriends went to extreme measures in a bid to win back her love.

She said, “I broke up with a guy and he tried to get back together with me by bringing his mother to a restaurant I worked at and getting down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant.

“The whole restaurant started applauding and I was like, ‘Get Up!’ It was horrible.”

Meanwhile the unlucky in love actress insists she can’t imagine her life away from the limelight.

Jennifer explained, “Would I love a level of anonymity? Sure, there are times I would love to take a moment. But that is lonely. It seems like a lonely existence.

“There is so much more to do. It is almost overwhelming. I have gotten to a great place in my career.”

However, Jennifer who was once married to hunky actor Brad Pitt, says she has missed out on some life-changing experiences, even though she has had a wonderful movie career.

She said, “What would I do if I wasn’t acting? I don’t know. Maybe I would become a chef. And I would travel. I would go back to the years I never did what I wish I would have don, which was travel Europe and backpack. That sounds slightly romantic.”

Rumours are flying around Hollywood that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are on the brink of ending their relationship.

 The couple, who have only recently been pictured together for the first time since February are allegedly about to begin relationship counselling after a number of serious arguments.

 Although Angelina initially suggested a separation, offering Brad £60 million for full custody of their six children, Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 2, and nine-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox, the actress has now agreed to seek professional help to save their relationship. 

 According to a source close to the couple, the difficulties started due to Angelina’s hectic schedule and lack of commitment to their family, leaving Brad, 45, feeling like a single parent.

 The situation was aggravated after Angelina, 33, who has been bogged down filming, Salt in New York, refused to spend Easter weekend with Brad’s parents.

Insiders say that it pushed Brad over the edge, so he fled to their chateau in south of France to clear his head. 

 Back in March, the pair were said to be rowing after Ange allegedly fired the twins nanny, after she returned home to find Brad comforting her in a bedroom. 

He insisted, the nanny was feeling unwell and he was simply checking she was ok, but Angelina remained unhappy.

 To add to their problems, Jolie’s half brother, James, who she memorably kissed on the lips in 2000, has been staying with the pair at their £40 million mansion. 

A friend of the Tomb Raider actress said the siblings are very close and revealed that James doesn’t think Brad is taking care of his sister and has urged her to get out of the relationship.

 The insider added: “Brad was furious when James moved in. They’ve always had a strained relationship.”

 The couple’s appointment with the therapist, who is one of the best in the US, is not for a while yet, but they have been advised to try allocating some time to spend together as a family.

 But after the time Brad has spent away in France, the pair are said to feel hopeful and determined to save their relationship.

 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have put their adoption plans on the backburner as the couple deal with their troubled relationship, reports claim.

 A recent US tabloid report revealed that the celebrity duo hoped to adopt another child this year, yet instead have called in Angelina’s brother,  James Haven, to act as a mediator between them.

 The couple have reportedly had a few bust ups in recent weeks, with a source telling, In Touch, “Poor James was trying to say, ‘Come on, that’s not  fair,’ and they ended up talking right over him.”

 James is worried that his famous sister may cause a series of problems which “may sabotage the best thing she has ever had and walk out on  Brad.”

 Angelina is currently working on her new movie, Salt, where she takes on a multiple set of disguises as a CIA agent. It was reported that the pair  were clearly not getting as the tension mounted on the New York set for the film.

 It was reported that Angelina said to Brad, who is looking after the children while she is filming, “Will you please respect the fact that I am  working right now?” and “All you have to do is look after the kids. Will you please do it?”

 An on-set insider added, “You can clearly tell something’s is not right between them.”

Jolie is reported to be trying to lose more weight to get into her acting role as a CIA agent. One of her disguises is playing a man which Angelina hopes to loose 21pounds in 21 days, getting rid of her curves for a leaner figure. 

However, her extreme diet regime has had negative impact on the Brangelina household. A source revealed that, “Brad told her that if she was staying on the diet, he was getting out of the way. Then she started screaming at him about a chore.

“He felt that whatever he did or said would be wrong, so he went to Los Angeles to let off steam with some buddies. He thinks the diet is dangerous and unnecessary.”

US actress, Jennifer Aniston, 40, has dumped musician boyfriend John Mayer because he wasn’t ready to have a child with her. The ‘Friends’ actress has been dating Mayer, 31, on and off for about a year, ended the relationship last week, as Jennifer is desperate to start a family.

A source told America’s OK! Magazine, “She was truly ready to move on. John wasn’t ready to father her child so she ended it.” It has been reported that the pair split on good terms and have not ruled out rekindling their romance in the near future. 

“They left the door open to give it another go. John’s number one priority at the moment is his music, it’s all-consuming for him,” said another source.

Reports suggested the Mayer ended the relationship with Aniston after her return from her European tour promoting her latest film, Marley and Me.

However, POPEATER, squashed these reports stating, “Jennifer Aniston is saying it’s actually the other way around. Aniston reportedly told her friends it was her decision to end their relationship after Mayer became distant following their appearance at the Oscars, WENN reports.”

Previous reports suggested that Aniston was keen for John to commit to their future, after he promised to change his partying lifestyle if they were to start a family. Actress, Drew Barrymore, a close friend of Aniston, was reported to have disliked Mayer, and was keen for the ‘Friends’ star to get rid of him.

It was reported that Drew believed Mayor was using Aniston to raise his celebrity profile and never really wanted kids with her at all.

Speaking about her desire for a family Jennifer said, “I feel it’s in my future and I’m on the verge of it in some way. I want to have children. That’s my plan. Of course I’d like to be a mother some day, and I love children.”

Friends actress Jennifer Aniston finally came face to face with love rival Angelina Jolie at the oscar awards on Sunday night, and what a hard way to do it - in front of millions of viewers.

Jennifer most recent film is ‘Marley and Me’ which is based on the book about a family who buy a puppy Labrador.

The star presented the award for Best Animated Feature Film after pulling off a great double act with comic Jack Black watched by ex-husband Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who were sat right on the front row literally a stone throw away from Jennifer.

And both Angelina and Brad smiled as the comic pair joked about Jack’s animation voiceovers, and Jen grumbled about her meagre paycheck for The Iron Giant.

Jack replied: “Each year I do a Dreamworks movie then I take all the money to the Oscars and bet it on Pixar.”

Addressing the Dreamworks head co-host Jen added: “I’m sorry Mr Katzenberg, I don’t know why we let him out.”

The comic double made a great pair and had the audience laughing before the award was presented, I bet poor Jennifer let out a huge sigh of relief when it was over!

Brad and Jennifer split in 2005 after he met Angelina on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, and there has been speculation since that Brad actually cheated on Jennifer with Angelina whilst they were still married, but this has never been confirmed.

So as the celebrities prepare for Oscar night, a top plastic surgeon to the stars has revealed some of the most-wanted features among his clients.

Dr Garth Fisher, who has a popular clinic in Beverly Hills, said: “I know people like to look like Angelina Jolie - her lips, her nose. Beyonce’s got some really great lips - people like that when they’re trying to inject the lips.”

He said his clients also went for the features of Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Katie Price, speaking about the process of the surgery he said: ”They come in with their wish list and the main thing for me is trying to do something that doesn’t look surgical, especially for the Oscars. You don’t want to be on the list of awful plastic surgeons dot com - you want to make sure they look really great, elegant and handsome,” he added, so this is obviously as great opportunity for him to promote his ‘work’. 

Dr Fisher has a long list of celebrity clients, one being Katie Price herself, who is famous for her plastic surgery and how it has enhanced her looks, said that when clients liked another actor’s features he could “get them going in that direction”.

Angelina Jolie lost a pair of £1.1 million diamond earrings. Angelina and Brad was staying in London’s Dorchester Hotel during the BAFTA awards at the weekend, and the film star has reportedly left her £1.1 million diamond earings at the suite they were staying in when she returned to the USA on Sunday. 

The 33-year-old actress realised she had forgotten the earrings as she was preparing to board her flight and called hotel staff, begging them to search her suite, frantically worrying about her loss and desperate for them to be found before she boarded her flight. 

A source said: “Staff got a frantic call from Angelina at the airport, urging them to take her room apart. Happily the diamonds were found after a 90-minute search and promptly sent back to Los Angeles.”

Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt were staying at the hoteln with their six children, so now wonder the earings got misplaced! They were nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress at the BAFTAs but were beaten to the prizes by Mickey Rourke and Kate Winslet.

Brad’s ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ - nominated for 11 awards - won three accolades. Angelina’s ‘Changeling’, which was acknowledged in eight categories, went home empty-handed.

The BAFTA Awards took place on Sunday night, and here you will find everything you need to know about the events of the night! The Leading Actress award was won by Kate Winslet for her fantastic performance in The Reader and Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up at the awards with seven gongs including Best Film.

The night of British triumphs saw Danny Boyle win the Director prize for Slumdog, the rags-to-riches tale set in the slums of Mumbai.

The Orange British Academy Film Awards, one of the most glamorous events in the film calendar, saw A-listers including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Penelope Cruz, Daniel Craig, Ron Howard and Michael Sheen brave the downpour to dazzle on the red carpet.

Kate Winslet appeared breathless when speaking in her acceptance speech, saying: “To be given this award at home, this really means a great deal to me. Thank you Bafta, thank you. I want to thank everybody involved in the making of this film. They all know who they are and they all deserve a big fat piece of this.”

Star of Doctor Who and Adulthood Noel Clarke was the people’s choice, taking home the Orange Rising Star Award, voted for by the public. Monty Python star Terry Gilliam was given the Bafta fellowship - the Academy’s highest honour.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie allegedly returned home from the BAFTA awards on Sunday to find their children running riot and entertaining themselves in the luxury Dorchester Hotel.

The Hollywood pair, who both missed out on awards, returned home to find that guests had complained about the noise coming from their suite, and the hotel staff had to repeatedly keep apologizing for the noise and disruption. 

Reports have said four of the famous couples children, thought to be Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh were running up and down the corridor outside the family suite for over an hour, shouting and screaming and play fighting, while under the supervision of a nanny - who i assume will be in trouble if these reports are true.

The couple had also being dining at Noor Jahan earlier in the evening, which is an Indian restaurant in South Kensington where guest’s pay just £20 a head. Shauyab Ahmed, part-owner of the restaurant, said: “They booked a table for 12 at 7.30pm and were a bit late arriving, but that was OK. The other customers loved it and were very happy to see them.” Dining with the celebrity pair were Robert Downey Jr, Claudia Schiffer and her film director husband Matthew Vaughan.

Britain’s Bafta’s took place in London last night at London’s Royal Opera House and they proved that the Baftas are currently by far the more interesting awards on the calendar. In a display of good taste and independent judgement, Bafta’s 6,000 voters – industry professionals every one – delivered some intriguing, heartening results.

The main colour to be seen in was black, worn by Alesha Dixon, Kylie and Emma Watson, all sporting black gowns. When speaking to the press, Emma Watson said, “The Baftas are very important. For us here, we don’t often have the support we need to get small British films off the ground so anything that promotes us, I think it’s wonderful.”

Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig were both two well known faces who looked absolutely gorgeous as they made their way into the Royal Opera House.

Artist Steve McQueen was making his big-screen debut, winning the Carl Foreman special achievement award for his uncompromising film Hunger, about IRA hunger strikers in the Maze prison.

And you have to love the fact that the British public voted Noel Clarke as this year’s Orange rising star. He may be best known as Doctor Who’s Mickey Smith, but he is also an accomplished screenwriter and director (Adulthood, Kidulthood) who deserves this public boost.

As for the ‘major’ awards, it was a relief that Kate Winslet has now put her acceptance speech problems behind her and remains the lead actress to beat at any awards ceremony. The Bafta voters opted for the right one performance by Kate, her work in The Reader has clearly burned itself on our collective memories in a manner Revolutionary Road has not. 

The night’s big winner, Slumdog Millionaire, which won seven Baftas, may seem an obvious choice now, but until its British premiere back in October at the London Film Festival, it looked an unlikely awards front-runner.

One final pleasing aspect to the BAFTAs: here is a ceremony that can be edited down to two hours of TV time, and not a minute more.
