At the UK premiere of his new movie, Valkyrie, Tom Cruise revealed that he and wife Katie Holmes are considering moving to Britain. Now that Madonna has left Blighty behind to return to New York, we could do with some new American A-listers to fill up the celebrity pages of our UK gossip magazines. 

Katie Holmes has already made her mark on Broadway, starring in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, so the West End is the next step for the actress. Broadway can’t rival the West End for its history, its theatres and the calibre of its actors.

Tom says, “It would be a fantastic move, Katie was absolutely brilliant on Broadway and to work in the West End would be a joy. It is something to consider for both of us. I think we’d love it here.” 

Thanks to the economic crisis, the US dollar is at a high against the pound which is a great opportuntiy especially for multi-millionaires such as the Cruises.

With property prices being slashed across the country, instead of buying a lovely house in London’s Primrose Hill like most celebrities, Tom and Katie could buy a whole street.
