The speculation about Dannii Minogue’s X Factor future appears to be over, as since the end of the last series it has been speculated that she may be getting kicked off the show, but fellow judge on the show Simon Cowell has said she will remain on the show and, in addition, her reported £500,000-a-series pay packet will be doubled. This will bring her wage in line with fellow judge Cheryl Cole’s seven-figure contract.

From the first time Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole became a hit on the ITV show, rumours started circulating about a possible replacement for Kylie’s little sister. The likes of Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Posh Spice and Lily Allen were thrown into the mix.

However, The Mirror quotes Simon Cowell as saying: “As far as the judging panel is concerned, let’s just say that if I was a betting man my money would be on Dannii returning to the show. She was great last year and I am adamant she should be there for the next series. Despite all the fuss concerning Dannii and Cheryl, I think the four judges worked really well together and gelled. There was an excellent chemistry. There’s been a lot of rubbish written about just who will be on the show, with people like Victoria Beckham supposedly in the frame. That was absolute nonsense – I never approached her.”

So this is the final news confirmed and it is good news for Dannii who is said to be excited and eager to sign on the dotted line, lets just hope she has better relations with the panel in the forthcoming series, as last year she publicly fell out with fellow judge Louis Walsh, who famously made her cry live on air, and Sharon Osbourne spoke about Dannii in a recent television interview saying she was the reason she left X Factor and she couldn’t stand her: “She had no personality and acted like a silly innocent girl, it got on my nerves and i couldn’t see myself working with her for the next six months” were Sharon’s opinions on Dannii during the interview. 

Sharon Osbourne  spoke out in a recent interview about being a judge on the TV show X Factor and said she quit as a judge on the programme because of Dannii Minogue. The 56-year-old left the ITV1 show in June after four series saying it was “time to move on”, and reports suggested clashes with fellow panellist Dannii were also behind her decision.

Sharon has recently spoken out and said: “I left because of Dannii Minogue. Simple as that. I didn’t enjoy working with her at all and didn’t fancy the prospect of spending six months sitting next to her.”

Sharon, who was replaced on the TV talent show by Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, rejected the suggestion that her fall-out with Dannii came about because she was jealous of the younger woman’s looks.

“I’ve not built my career on my looks or my youth,” was Sharon’s response to these claims. 

Sharon Osbourne first found fame with rocker hubby Ozzy and their children Kelly and Jack on reality show The Osbournes and as been in the eye of the media ever since for her abrupt, self-opinionated comments – she certainly doesn’t hold back on her words!

Alexandra Burke and Ruth Lorenzo have been house hunting since their recent success in X Factor and they have new decided they have found their dream home.

The X Factor singers decided weeks ago they’d move in together after the show had ended – and now it seems they have moved into their London riverside apartment, complete with a huge 50 inch plasma screen TV, wall-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views and wet room. 

The show’s winner of 2008 Alexandra – who is still celebrating from being Christmas No 1 with her version of Hallelujah – has also splashed out on new furniture for her mum’s home in north London.

A source said: “Alex isn’t ready to live by herself yet. She and Ruth have become firm friends in the past three months. Ruth’s been an absolute rock.”

It is certain that they pair will look out for one another, and keep each other grounded. It’s an incredible time for Alex – she’s living in the most exciting capital in the world at the most exciting time of her life. The new apartment, which they’re currently renting, reflects the lifestyle to which she will soon be accustomed.

And Simon Cowell has apparently given Alexandra a holiday to Barbados to celebrate her success.

Alex said: “It’s been the best week of my life. Simon Cowell has given me a holiday to celebrate and said I can go anywhere in the world.” No wonder Alex is bursting with excitement right now, it’s an incredible time for her and will take her a while to get used to all the changes. But Alex has said all she really wants to do is get started on the album.

Eoghan Quigg lost out on the X Factor crown but he has definitely had the time of his life on the show and has described meeting his fellow contestant Diana Vickers as the best experience of his life!

Eoghan was recently asked if him and Diana are now officially a couple and he wasn’t giving too much away by replying, “It’s possible…maybe…or maybe not” with a cheeky little grin!

He continued by saying that meeting Diana was the best experience of his life, and described her as the most lovely girl he has met and they have developed a strong bond together, so I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens!

When asked whether she and Eoghan could become a couple, Diana said: “I can’t say… It depends what happens… right now I’m not going to think about anything like that.”

“I’m going to make sure I spend some time with Chris at Christmas, and who’s to say what’s going to happen in the future?”

Speaking about her feelings, she revealed: “There’s a difference between loving each other and being in love. I love him to bits…”

Disputing rumors that she and Eoghan have been dating for the past month, Diana said: “I’m not a liar. I’ll tell him everything to do with me and Eoghan and I’d never cheat on anyone in my life.” Diana has said that people look at Eoghan like he is a 10 year old boy, but she has said he is nothing like that at all and he is surprisingly grown up.

Robbie Williams is reportedly in talks to replace Dannii Minogue as a judge on The X Factor. The 34 year old singer previously of Take That has decided he is moving back to England after living in Los Angeles for four years, and is apparently in discussion to signing a contract with Simon Cowell to be a judge on X Factor. 

It looks like Simon has decided on his dream line-up and is determined that’s what he will get. Simon is used to getting his own way so he’ll be going all out to get Cheryl signed up for another years contract and getting Robbie would also be amazing as he is such a mega-star. 

Simon is publicly insisting that Dannii will not be sacked, but insiders say she will be kicked off the show. Simon has apparently offered Cheryl Cole £3 million to return to The X Factor next year.

A spokesperson for the show said: “No decisions have been made about contracts and no decisions will be made until next year.”

Saturday’s ninth live X Factor final saw another shock exit as Diana Vickers lost out in the public vote, leaving JLS, Eoghan Quigg, and Alexandra Burke to battle it out in the final.

The theme of the show was Judges Choice, meaning that the singing stars had to put their trust in their mentors, all except Dannii Minogue, who has no acts left in the competition following Ruth Lorenzo’s departure last week.

The contestants performed two songs each, and after the first round Simon Cowell admitted that the competition was tight. It was always going to be a tough night for the final four contestants, but everyone seemed to up their game, and all four judges were often unanimous in praise.

However someone had to leave, and this week it was quirky 17-year-old Diana Vickers – her original style had bewitched the judges and audiences alike, even though problems with laryngitis caused her to miss the Mariah Carey themed show earlier in the competition.

One person in particular was especially sad to see Diana leave, and that was 16-year-old fellow contestant Eoghan, who cried uncontrollably upon hearing the public vote results – an X Factor final just can’t go by without emotions running high and tears flowing.

Cheryl Cole is now the darling of Saturday night TV and her career has gone stratospheric and life should be just perfect for the girls aloud singer. But Cheryl is not happy – she is actually fuming. She’s sick of the sideswipes, squabbling and egos which threaten to overshadow the show she cares so much about.

In a blistering attack, Cheryl says the X Factor is not about her, Dannii Minogue or Louis Walsh. It’s not even – gasp! – about Simon Cowell.

In a recent interview, she rages: “It’s really p***ing me off. This isn’t about me, Louis, whatever. No! None of the judges are going to win it. People don’t vote for the judges. They vote for their favourite contestant.” Cheryl added, “Of course, if one of my girls wins I’m going to go through the roof. But not because I’VE won. And I promise you I’m going to make damned sure one of my girls wins.”

Diana Vickers and Alexandra Burke are Cheryl’s remaining acts since Laura’s exit a fortnight ago and she’s determined that neither of them is going anywhere.

She says: “No one else on the panel knows how it feels to be stood on that stage. They don’t understand what it’s like to be so young and have 12 million people watching you sing live every Saturday. What an immense amount of pressure.” 

Simon Cowell has took Louis Walsh to task for making fellow judge Dannii Minogue cry on TV. Dannii was left in tears after Louis attacked her for ‘stealing’ a song he had wanted for his group JLS. The row had started on Thursday but spilled over into the live show.

Louis was furious after she refused to allow JLS to sing Take That hit Rule The World – because she’d earmarked it for her act, Rachel Hylton – who was later that night evicted from the show. Millions of viewers witnessed Louis say angrily to Dannii: “We’re all in it for our acts. We all care and I have to protect my acts as well, they wanted to do Rule The World from day one.”

Dannii sat staring straight ahead with tears welling in her eyes, unable to speak. Simon stuck up for Dannii, telling her: “Just picking up on what Louis said about nicking the song, we take it in turns and Dannii made absolutely the right decision, and if Louis doesn’t like it… tough.”

A source on the show said: “Things are getting very tense. Dannii felt she was being isolated on the panel and publicly humiliated.”

In recent weeks Dannii has tried – and failed – to build bridges with fellow judge Cheryl Cole. A well-placed source revealed: “Dannii fears that her days on the show could be numbered unless she can get back on side with the other judges. Recently she has been trying to get in with Cheryl by inviting her to lunch and suggesting nights out together. But Cheryl keeps making excuses.”
