X Factor’s Diana Vickers was involved in controversy on Friday night as a brawl broke out on stage during her performance of Take That’s Patience at a gig in Salisbury. The singer was caught up in the brawl as security wrestled a member of the audience away from the 17-year-old as he tried to put his arm round her.

In law, if you go on to the stage and touch the preformer in any way, it considered by courts as an assault and the man had his arm round diana and was holding her by the waist. When the bouncers grabbed the man and pulled him away, he did not let go of diana and pulled her backwards, and she was on her way to the floor when one bouncer managed to stop her falling backwards and pulled her back up.

Diana was upset and shaken, and may be bruised at the waist due to the violent pull that she received, or could easily have been badly hurt if she had hit the floor, she was taken off stage until the furore had subsided, however, the X Factor reality TV star returned to continue her gig five minutes later.

The mans action of coming on to the stage spoiled the night for the other fans, as Diana had been due to do autograph signing after the songs were finnished, and this was cancelled as Diana was still shaken.

Diana Vickers has said that her plans are to look for someone new in her life this new year, she has said it is a new year and she wants a new, fresh start for 2009, and would like a loveable companion to share it with… 

The X Factor starlet’s love life with ex-boyfriend Chris Jones and fellow finalist Eoghan Quigg has been the subject of rumours for the past few weeks, and she has recently ‘cooled things off’ with Chris as she is moving from her hometown of Blackburn to London, and they will be too far apart to continue the relationship, but the blonde  is not looking for a replacement boyfriend, she has revealed she is looking for a loveable mutt.

“I want a dog, I really want a pet dog,” she said. “But I don’t know whether I am going to be busy, whether that would be practical.”

And it seems she’s not the only X Factor star who enjoys spending time with canine friends.

X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman says he loves spending time with his dogs, as they help him to relax and switch off from everything, he has just spent christmas in Barbados with his dogs, sounds so much more peaceful than having all the family round for christmas dinner!

Eoghan Quigg lost out on the X Factor crown but he has definitely had the time of his life on the show and has described meeting his fellow contestant Diana Vickers as the best experience of his life!

Eoghan was recently asked if him and Diana are now officially a couple and he wasn’t giving too much away by replying, “It’s possible…maybe…or maybe not” with a cheeky little grin!

He continued by saying that meeting Diana was the best experience of his life, and described her as the most lovely girl he has met and they have developed a strong bond together, so I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens!

When asked whether she and Eoghan could become a couple, Diana said: “I can’t say… It depends what happens… right now I’m not going to think about anything like that.”

“I’m going to make sure I spend some time with Chris at Christmas, and who’s to say what’s going to happen in the future?”

Speaking about her feelings, she revealed: “There’s a difference between loving each other and being in love. I love him to bits…”

Disputing rumors that she and Eoghan have been dating for the past month, Diana said: “I’m not a liar. I’ll tell him everything to do with me and Eoghan and I’d never cheat on anyone in my life.” Diana has said that people look at Eoghan like he is a 10 year old boy, but she has said he is nothing like that at all and he is surprisingly grown up.

Perhaps she should have been consoling him, given that he had just lost out to Alexandra Burke in the X Factor final – but it was Eoghan who kissing away Diana’s tears as she left in a taxi after the last show.

Diana Vickers was due to play a post-show gig at a nightclub in Birmingham, so was unable to continue the celebrations with the rest of her fellow former contestants.

And no doubt she was keen to commiserate with finalist Eoghan Quigg, 16, with whom she has been dodging rumors of a relationship for weeks. The emotional teenagers clung to each other at the end of the show whilst they were saying goodbye and shared a passionate kiss.

The romance appears to be official now though, as there was no denying the passion between the pair as they bid each other farewell. The pretty blonde had tears streaming down her face as she drove off in her car. Sinitta could be seen in the background, clearly concerned for the emotional lovebirds.

The chemistry between the teenagers was nevertheless evident throughout the live shows, most notably during the semi-final when the Derry-born schoolboy broke down in tears after Diana was voted out.

Saturday’s ninth live X Factor final saw another shock exit as Diana Vickers lost out in the public vote, leaving JLS, Eoghan Quigg, and Alexandra Burke to battle it out in the final.

The theme of the show was Judges Choice, meaning that the singing stars had to put their trust in their mentors, all except Dannii Minogue, who has no acts left in the competition following Ruth Lorenzo’s departure last week.

The contestants performed two songs each, and after the first round Simon Cowell admitted that the competition was tight. It was always going to be a tough night for the final four contestants, but everyone seemed to up their game, and all four judges were often unanimous in praise.

However someone had to leave, and this week it was quirky 17-year-old Diana Vickers – her original style had bewitched the judges and audiences alike, even though problems with laryngitis caused her to miss the Mariah Carey themed show earlier in the competition.

One person in particular was especially sad to see Diana leave, and that was 16-year-old fellow contestant Eoghan, who cried uncontrollably upon hearing the public vote results – an X Factor final just can’t go by without emotions running high and tears flowing.

Diana Vickers has laughed off criticism of her ‘claw hand’ on The X Factor.

‘Fans’ on the internet have mocked the singer for her strange hand movements while performing, with several Facebook groups – including one called ‘I Want To Pull Diana Vickers Hand Off And Slap Her With It’ – proving popular with thousands of users.

“Diana finds the press she’s been getting about her hand funny,” a source has said, “She is happy with her songs and she wants to give a performance like she was giving at the beginning of the show. She is also looking forward to having a dance routine with one of her songs.”

Diana relaxed this week by attending ITV’s The Girls Aloud Party on Tuesday night with fellow contestant Alexandra Burke, and she was left starstruck by James Morrison, who waved to her.

Diana, Alexandra, JLS and Eoghan Quigg will all perform one song of their choice on Saturday night’s show, with their second song being chosen by the judges, there is now only one more act that will leave the show before next week’s final.
