A Harlan Coben Netflix podcast is on its way, with the streamer confirming the project will premiere later in 2026, a new creative direction for one of its most prolific storytelling partners.
Coben, whose work has generated some of Netflix‘s biggest hits in recent years, including I Will Find You and Fool Me Once, is stepping away from scripted drama for his first venture into audio. The podcast will explore the idea of the plot twist as a real-life phenomenon, with Coben hosting conversations with guests across a wide range of fields.

‘I’m excited to create my first original podcast with Netflix, they’ve been a wonderful partner in telling new stories,’ Coben said in a statement, as reported by Variety. ‘I’ve always been fascinated by plot twists, in fiction and in real life, especially the unexpected turns that change who we are.’
The central question he plans to put to his guests is a simple but broad one: ‘What’s the plot twist that formed you, surprised you, changed your life for the better, or even the worse?’ Coben added that he is looking forward to speaking with ‘a wide variety of guests, from writers and artists to entrepreneurs, actors, athletes, and everyday people with extraordinary stories.’
It is a natural creative extension for a writer so associated with the thriller genre, where the pivot moment is everything. Whether the format translates that sensibility into compelling listening is something audiences will find out when the podcast lands on the platform.
Netflix’s growing podcast slate
The Harlan Coben Netflix podcast is part of a broader push by the streamer into audio and video podcasting. Netflix now hosts more than 60 video podcasts on its service, and the platform has been expanding that offering steadily.
Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of nonfiction series, explained the thinking behind the move: ‘Podcasts are a way for members to get more of the genres, stories and personalities they love. No matter where or when you want to listen or watch, we have a curated selection of podcasts representing the best of true crime, sports, comedy, food and storytelling of every kind.’
Announced at the same time as Coben’s podcast was a new project from comedian Katt Williams, who recently starred in his fourth Netflix stand-up special, The Last Report. Netflix also confirmed renewals for several existing shows in its video podcast lineup, including The Pete Davidson Show, Shut Up Evan hosted by Evan Ross Katz, and the true-crime podcast Allegedly from NBC News‘ Ellison Barber.
The Myron Bolitar series is also in production
For fans of Coben’s fiction, there is also a scripted project to look forward to. His next Netflix release will be an adaptation of his Myron Bolitar series, with Colin Woodell playing the basketball star-turned-sports agent at the centre of the story.
The series entered production last month. KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero are also starring alongside Woodell. It is one more addition to a partnership between Coben and Netflix that has already produced a long run of thriller adaptations, and the podcast will sit alongside that output rather than replace it.
With the Myron Bolitar adaptation in production and the Harlan Coben Netflix podcast set to arrive later in 2026, the coming months will offer audiences two very different ways to spend time with one of the streamer’s most dependable creative partners.
